One of Arizona’s leading educators dedicated to meeting the needs of exceptional and gifted students, Dana Stempil Herzberg is a widely recognized expert in educating and helping students with AD/HD and learning disabilities. With years of teaching and mentoring experience, she has served as a consultant to numerous school districts providing teacher and administrative trainings. Ms. Herzberg is owner and president of a rapidly growing business, On-Track Tutoring and Family Support Services, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ms. Herzberg purchased On-Track Tutoring in 1999 with the vision of helping students achieve academic success. Able to overcome her own learning challenges and to recognize her potential through strategic learning approaches and the help of excellent tutors, it is her aspiration that the On-Track tutors and coaches provide the same support to individuals and families struggling at any level. A key factor in the organization’s success is Foundationstm, a study skills and organization program Ms. Herzberg created to provide students with tools and strategies required for long-term, independent academic and life success. Ms. Herzberg earned a master’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on brain-based learning, twice exceptionalities and multisensory curriculum from ASU, where she also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. She has been a certified instructor in Elementary Education (K-8), Special Education (learning disabilities, emotional disabilities and mental retardation, K-12), and Gifted Education (K-12). Ms. Herzberg provides educational recommendations on neuropsychological/psychoeducational evaluations for several Arizona clinicians, educational consulting and advocacy, and is a CHADD group facilitator in the name of Dr. Clare Jones. Ms. Herzberg’s professional affiliations include the Council for Exceptional Children; CHADD (Children and Adults with AD/HD); the International Dyslexia Association; the International Reading Association, and the National Tutoring Association. Ms. Herzberg resides in Phoenix with her husband, David and son, Nathan.
